Guiding Principles

    1. All instructional spaces should have natural light and views when possible.
    2. Learning areas for different age ranges should have some degree of separation.
    3. The building should allow for flexible boundaries between grade levels and subject matter.
    4. The design should avoid creating circulation pinch points.
    5. Flex spaces should accommodate a variety of group sizes and should occur throughout the building.
    6. Performance/presentation space should be incorporated into the design.
    7. The school should have an open feeling.
    8. Materials and finishes should be durable and maintainable.
