Welcome to Westwood!

Welcome Students and Families!

My name is Tim Stowe, the Principal of Westwood Elementary. I am so very proud of our wonderful school and believe we have something very special here at Westwood. We serve students and families in grades 3 through 5 as a part of Zimmerman and the surrounding communities. 

Prior to becoming Principal at Westwood, I was Principal of W-E-M Elementary, a Kindergarten through 4th grade elementary school in Waterville, MN. Before becoming a principal, I was an elementary school teacher in 2nd, 4th, and 6th grades. While I miss having my own class and the thrill of inspiring learners at the classroom level, I absolutely love being a principal. 

In addition to serving as Westwood’s Principal, I spend the majority of my time with kids. I am the youngest of 12 siblings, married, and have 4 children of my own! Being a father has been the most gratifying experience and has made me a better educator. I bring the same care, compassion, and energy to Westwood that I give to my own family. 

I believe wholeheartedly in our district mission to educate, inspire and empower. We, as a Westwood staff, are deeply committed to this and believe that relationships and culture are the essential elements toward achieving our mission.
