ISD 728 contracts with Vision of Elk River, Inc. to provide transportation for area students. Parents and guardians will receive notification prior to the first day of school regarding their child's bus route, assignment and scheduled bus stop locations and times.

Due to time and safety concerns, parents are not allowed on the bus. Each year please review the Busing Guidelines and Bus Safety documents.  If changes are needed, complete the Online Transportation Form or print, fill out, and send the paper Transportation Form.

For students who receive special education services, please visit the Special Education Transportation page or contact your school directly regarding any address changes. The school contact will provide any necessary forms.

Each year, we ask families to confirm their transportation plans for the upcoming school year. This helps plan for all students who wish to ride and for our routes to be as efficient and accurate as possible. 

• For students in Grades 11-12
  • A student MUST register to ride if busing is needed.  A student will not automatically be placed on a route. 

Where Can I Find Busing Information?

Bus routes, stop times, and pick up and drop off locations are available in Campus Parent Portal. Once logged into Campus Parent Portal, using the menu, look under "More" and then "Transportation."  Once that screen loads, make sure that you have the correct student selected (upper right hand corner of the screen) and then you should be able to view the information.

Split households, Northwest Suburban riders, or those with pre-arranged transportation circumstances may not be shown. If you do not see bus details and you have recently submitted a transportation form, please keep checking Campus Parent Portal for that information to be loaded.  Once a route is shown, your student can begin riding the next day.   

Lost and Found Items

​Families are welcome to check for any missing items that may have been left on ISD 728/Vision school buses. Items should be claimed at Vision Transportation, located at 12508 Elk Lake Road NW, Elk River during normal business hours. Periodically throughout the year, any items that are unclaimed are donated locally.
