Dear 11th Grade Students and Parents:

Attached you will find the 11th Grade Student and Parent College Planning presentation.  Due to COVID-19 guidelines, we are unable to offer this presentation face to face.  We have recorded a video with helpful information for Juniors who are planning to attend some form of post-secondary education after high school.  Some topics covered include career exploration resources, ACT information, and a college planning timeline for the Junior and Senior year.  There is also a slideshow of this video for you to review at your own pace with live links for more detailed information.

    Financial Aid

    ERHS Students and Families:

Below you will find the link to the Junior and Senior Family Financial Aid Presentation, Myths and Truths about Financial Aid, from Jeff Olson, Director of Financial Aid at Bethel University.  Due to COVID-19 regulations, we are not able to offer this presentation face to face.   There is a lot of misinformation about financial aid and the FAFSA-what it entails, who should apply, what the results will be.  This video helps to dispel 16 common myths.  ERHS also included links to Financial Aid resources from the MN Office of Higher Education.  They are online brochures families would normally pick up during the Financial Aid Night.

    FAFSA (Financial Aid)

    Why fill out a FAFSA?

The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is the first step in the financial aid process. You use it to apply for federal student financial aid, such as grants, loans, and work-study. In addition, most states and schools use information from FAFSA to award non-federal aid.

FAFSA applications are available only on the FAFSA website.  Worksheets are available in the Guidance Office around the middle of December (for the next school year).

Attention Seniors and Parents:  You Do Not Pay for this service.  This is a free service.  Please be aware that there are websites out there that will charge you for this service.

Note: FAFSA cannot be completed until your taxes have been filed. Seniors should be completing taxes and the FAFSA. To be considered for most forms of aid students need to submit the FAFSA by the end of February.

You can visit their website at:
