Special Education Work Based Learning
Worked Based Learning (WBL) is an element in education which provides students with opportunities to build career awareness, explore career options, and develop critical thinking skills. WBL occurs in the classroom, at the home school site, and on-site training at a private or public work setting. It involves learning experiences and activities that include actual paid or unpaid work experience. Students have the opportunity to experience job shadowing, worksite field trips, structured/cooperative work experiences, internships, apprenticeships, and career mentoring. For further information, please e-mail either your child's case manager or the SE Coordinator.
