ISD 728 recycles supplies and equipment by accepting items that are no longer being used in a particular school or department and making the items available to others within the school district. If no department or site within the district can use the item, it will be offered to the public through Public Surplus, an online auction service.
The sale of items through the online auction service is coordinated by the Manager of Purchasing according to Minnesota law. Users are required to register to use the Public Surplus site. Once available through public auction, district employees may bid on items for personal use, just as any other member of the public.
