Kelly Stanton

Director of Teaching & Learning

Kelly brings a variety of educational experiences to the teaching and learning team. She was an elementary and gifted education teacher, instructional coach, QComp coordinator and elementary principal. Kelly is a data team trainer who implements culturally relevant practices in working with the communities she proudly serves. She leads several district committees including the Teacher Development and Evaluation, Multiple Tiered Systems of Support, World’s Best Work Force, and Teaching and Learning. Kelly received educational degrees from Minnesota State University, Mankato, University of Minnesota and St. Thomas University. Ms. Stanton looks forward to collaborating with her team to educate, inspire and empower all learners in ISD 728.

Kristin Hall

Curriculum Specialist: 6-12 Math, 6-12 Science, Equity Education

Kristin joined the Teaching and Learning team in the fall of 2019.  Prior to arriving in ISD 728, Kristin spent nine years in roles that supported and empowered teacher colleagues.  She spent four years as an academic coach in the Cambridge-Isanti School District and fourteen years in the Osseo Area School District as both a classroom teacher for 14 years and a teacher on special assignment for five years.  Navigating the shift to standards-referenced instruction in an urban-like setting provided the context to explore best-practices in instruction and assessing for student learning. Kristin received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Luther College and a Master of Arts and an Educational Specialist degree from Concordia University.  With previous experience in both an urban and a small community setting, Kristin is excited to support teaching and learning in ISD 728!

Becky Herbert

Curriculum Specialist: E-5 Math, E-5 Science, Title 1 Math, Gifted & Talented

Becky joins the Teaching and Learning Team for the 2019/20 school year with a degree in Elementary Education, a Masters in Teaching and Learning, and a K-12 Administration Licensure. She has been in multiple buildings and has intermediate and middle school experience throughout the district since 2006. She has been a part of many district leadership committees including Staff Development, Advanced and Gifted Learners, data analysis, technology integration, and standards-based grading. She has also supported building and district-wide initiatives through many other roles. As a curriculum specialist, Becky supports teachers in the areas of E-5 Math, Science and Advanced and Gifted Learners. She is excited to continue to support teaching and learning at ISD 728.

McKayla joins the Teaching and Learning Team in the fall of 2015 with a degree in Elementary Education, a Masters in Teaching and Learning, and a K-12 Administration Licensure. She has experience in multiple buildings and grade levels throughout the district since 2004. Throughout the years she had the opportunity to serve in district leadership on a variety of committees, gifted and talented, data analysis, technology integration, and standards based grading as well as support building and district wide initiatives through many other roles. As a curriculum specialist, McKayla supports teachers in the areas of E-5 Language Arts and Social Studies. She has a strong passion for education and is excited to support teachers and students through the implementation of curriculum and best practices.

Kim Sagan

Curriculum Specialist: 6-12 English Language Arts & Social Studies 

Kim joined the Teaching and Learning Team in the fall of 2017 with 13 years of experience in education.  She previously taught middle school English Language Arts for 10 years in the Anoka-Hennepin School District where she was also a PLC Coordinator and Administrative Intern.  Kim attended the University of Minnesota and earned her Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Education.  In addition, she received her K-12 Reading Specialist and Administrative Licenses from Hamline University.  Kim is excited to join the educational community of ISD 728 and support the work of 6-12 ELA and Social Studies.

Tricia Sanford

Curriculum Specialist: 6-12 AVID, Industrial Tech, FACS, Business & Marketing

Over the course of her 30 years of service in ISD #728, Tricia has taught students of all ages in both special and regular education settings. Tricia has a Master of Arts degree and is a nationally certified speech/language pathologist who is passionate about literacy, language, and vocabulary. As a curriculum specialist, Tricia focuses on college and career readiness for all students. This includes supporting teachers and counselors in the following areas: AVID, Career and Technical Education, Work Experience, Industrial Technology, Business and Marketing, Family and Consumer Science, and Career and College Readiness counseling. Tricia oversees the Achievement and Integration plan and Perkins funding for the district.

Keri Sollitt

Curriculum Specialist: Art, Music, PhyEd, Health, World Language

Keri joins the Teaching and Learning Team in the fall of 2017, having spent the previous 22 years as a vocal music educator in ISD 728 after beginning her career in the Northfield Public School District. Keri received her undergraduate music degrees from Bethel (College) University, and completed a Master of Arts in Music Education degree at the University of St. Thomas in 2007. Along with building leadership roles, Keri has also had the opportunity to serve the district on the Teacher Development and Evaluation and Q Comp committees. Keri is excited to support teacher and student success throughout the district, with a particular emphasis on the specialty content areas of World Language, Health, Physical Education, Art, and Music.
