    College and Career Center

     The Career Center will be open Monday and Tuesday mornings from 7:00am - 7:25am

    College and Military Visits

    College admission visits for the 2021-2022 school year will be held in the Career Center at Elk River High School. In order to attend any of the visits, you must pre-register by 7:00 AM the morning of the visit. Fill out this form for EACH visit you would like to attend. On the day of your registered visit you will receive an E-hallpass to the Career Center, please check in for this visit in the Counseling Office.  Click here to see a listing of scheduled visits. This list is updated as colleges schedule visits so please check back often.

    The ERHS Career Center is open and ready to help you plan for life after high school!  We have a wide variety of College and Career information waiting for you. Here are some examples of how you can utilize the Career Center:  

    • Career exploration  
    • Inventory tests to help you match your interests to possible careers
    • Scholarship search assistance
    • College application assistance
    • Personal statement and college essay assistance
    • Choosing ERHS courses to explore your career interests
    • Gather resources for test prep, military, and college admission
    • Visit with college admission and military representatives (see below)

    The Career Center is located between the main office and the counseling office and is accessible from the commons area.  The Career Center will be open by appointment with your school counselor. If you have any questions about college or career choices, your counselor would be happy to meet with you and discuss your options and answer any questions you may have.  To sign up with your counselor please click here.

    11th Grade 2020-2021 Student and Parent College Planning Presentation
     
    Attached you will find the 2020-2021 Student and Parent College Planning presentation.  We have recorded a video with helpful information for Juniors who are planning to attend some form of post-secondary education after high school.  Some topics covered include career exploration resources, ACT information, and a college planning timeline for the Junior and Senior year.  There is also a slideshow of this video for you to review at your own pace with live links for more detailed information.  The 2021-2022 presentation is scheduled for February 22, 2022 at 6pm in the Zabee Theatre, this is being held during conferences.

    12th Grade Planning Information

    Dear Senior Students and Parents/Guardians: Senior year is an exciting time as you plan for life after school.  The Counseling Department wants to make sure you are aware of the ways we can support you as you begin this next phase of your life. Whatever your plan may be after high school, such as military, work, or higher education, we want to serve as a helpful resource in your planning process.  Please view this senior letter for more information.
