March 18, 2020
Parents and Guardians of English Learner Students,
We recognize that during this evolving situation, staff, students and families will experience a significant disruption to the daily routine and experiences in our schools. With that in mind, we wanted to reach out and let you know that we are working to develop an instructional plan for your child that will help them build upon their English language skills.
Your child’s English Learner (EL) Teacher will be in contact with you before March 30, 2020 to discuss what distance learning services will look like for your child in accordance with their needs. Please let your child’s EL Teacher know if you need access to a device or internet. We will work closely with you and try to accommodate your child’s needs to the best of our ability.
Please know that your child will continue to receive English Language services, but these services will look different. For example, starting March 30, 2020, services will be delivered through an alternative method that may include technology, phone calls, and/or printed resources.
Please do not hesitate to contact your child’s EL Teacher or me if you have additional questions or concerns. The email addresses for the EL Teachers are:
- Elizabeth Carlson: firstname.lastname@example.org
- Joie Johnson: email@example.com
- Beatrice Massango: firstname.lastname@example.org
- Elizabeth Muellerleile: email@example.com
- Harry O’davis: firstname.lastname@example.org
- Eric Ostmoe: email@example.com
- Jatona Sanudo: firstname.lastname@example.org
- Tiffany Wolf: email@example.com
We appreciate your collaboration and commitment to our learners as we work through this unprecedented experience in our communities together.
