Auditions for RHS's fall musical Singin' in the Rain

..... will be the evenings of August 25th, 26th in the choir room and callbacks will be in the PAC the evening of August 27th.

ALL students will be invited to callbacks from 5-5:45pm to dance and then will get a possible invitation to stay until 9pm to sing. Students should prepare 60 seconds of a song from the classical musical genre (think South Pacific, Meet Me in St. Louis or My Fair Lady) or a song from an artist who was popular in the 1940's/1950's (think Sinatra, Nat King Cole or Judy Garland--Classic Jazz). If you need inspiration, listen to vocal music from movies made in the 1940's. Students also need to prepare 60 seconds of material to make the artistic team laugh. This can be a monologue, story about life or a series of appropriate jokes.  Sides will not be provided.  If you have any questions, email the director: cyndy.gauthier@isd728.org.  Interested in set building and painting? SUMMER SCHOOL 2020

Based on current information, we believe Summer School will go ahead as planned.  If an RHS student failed an English, Science or Social Studies course (either 1st or 2nd semester), they will be contacted by their counselor and will be expected to complete Summer School to recover the credit.

Summer school will be in an online format.  The dates of summer school are set for

    June 22-July 17.

More details to come and, of course, subject to change depending on direction from the governor and our district leadership.

     pine

Any RHS students who have registered for a Pine Tech College (PTCC) Concurrent Enrollment course(s) for next school year (2020-2021) need to complete their PTCC application. This is a required step to be eligible for college credit for these courses (listed below).   An email was sent via Campus Messenger on April 29 to any RHS student who registered for a PTCC course.

The email sent via Campus Messenger included a link to register for two webinars.  One includes basic information regarding Concurrent Enrollment.  The second will assist you in completing your Application if you have run into difficulties doing that.  Application directions may be found here, please carefully follow this slide show step by step. It is imperative you complete your application ASAP.  Please email your guidance counselor if you have any questions or need help with it.

RHS Craft Club (formerly known as Pinterest Club) has been active during distance learning. This group collaboration was a highlight.  Club members were assigned a section to decorate on their own and then submitted their finished product digitally. Participants used colored pencils, paint, markers, crayons, stamps and digital coloring tools to complete their section.  All of the pieces were then digitally stitched together to create a final project.  Craft Club meets once or twice every month after school in the Media Center.
