6th Grade Orientation

  • 6th Grade Orientation Plan

All incoming 6th grade students are invited to participate in Orientation on August 25th, from 6:00-7:30pm.  This event is for students only.  There will be plenty of staff on site supporting students; we look forward to using this time to connect and begin the important process of building strong meaningful relationships with them!

Students will enter the main entrance; support staff will guide them to the gym where they will receive general information. Additionally, they will participate in small group building tours where middle school specific areas will be highlighted. At the end of the event, students will be issued Chromebooks on their way out of the building. Devices will have already been assigned to them so this process should be relatively quick, but please note as you are waiting for your child, they may not exit the building until 7:40 if they were towards the end of the line.

Additionally, we are requesting that families review/complete a few items prior to the Orientation.

As a reminder, regarding all ISD 728 buildings, masks are recommended, but NOT required per the CDC and Minnesota Department of Health recommendations, regardless of vaccination status.
