    SEPTEMBER 2021

Hello Online728 Families!

  • Welcome to our first Parent Newsletter. Online728 is excited to be serving full-time students in grades K-12 this year. We will post a monthly newsletter for families regarding happenings and updates from the “building”, as well as any additional communication needed for parents. Due to our program being K-12, the newsletter will feature sections applicable to our Elementary, Middle, and High School programs.

We would like to thank you all for being a part of Online728! Let’s make this a great year!

    Dr. Meagan Rathbun
    Assistant Principal

Online728 Elementary Updates

  • Attendance Reminders

Students are expected to “check-in” each morning using Campus Portal. This check-in can also be completed by parents for their student(s). Please review the following directions if you are unsure on how to complete your daily check-in. All student check-ins will be verified by the teacher with student attendance in daily Google Meets and completion of daily work in Schoology.

If your student will be absent for the day, please email your student’s teacher. If your student will be absent for an extended period of time, please email the Assistant Principal in addition to your child’s teacher to discuss options for making up missed work.

Please review the student handbook for our attendance policy.

    Elementary Grading Expectations

Students will participate in a variety of live instructional time and independent activities using our learning management system, Schoology. Similar to in-person classes, not all activities students complete will have a grade attached. These activities are learning experiences that prepare students for next steps. Depending on the task, teachers may use these to informally assess student understanding and learning needs. Learning mentors are expected to ensure students complete these activities daily. If a student has a question on their learning experience, they should contact their teacher.

    Specials (Art, Music, and PE)

All students K-5 experience specials in their day with Art, Music, and PE. Our teachers are very excited to work with you this year. Please refer to the Staff Directory for all teacher contact information.
