New Arrival Procedure
This week we implemented a new procedure for students who arrive after our first bell. This process is meant to help hold students accountable when arriving, as well as creating better communication within our building. When they arrive, they check in on a chromebook located in our front office. Students are able to select the reason they are late and what class they are going to, which then emails their corresponding teacher with the information. We are still working out some of kinks, so thank you for being patient! For more information on attendance, please visit HERE
NHS is sponsoring the 3rd annual Socktober drive. It begins on Monday, October 25, 2021 and runs through Friday, November 5, 2021. Bring in new pairs of socks. There will be containers near the Main office to drop off your sock donations. (We cannot accept gently used socks - donations must be new socks only) Warm Feet/Warm Hearts Last year we collected over 1500 pairs of socks! We can beat this number!
The RHS site is extremely busy with construction; and, this is happening both outside and inside the building. We appreciate your patience as we work through this project. Please see the progress photos.

Want help talkin to your teen about alcohol or other drugs?
It’s never too early to have a conversation about alcohol and other drugs. As teens get older, they make more decisions on their own, and also face more temptation and peer pressure. Though it may not seem like it, teens really do hear your concerns.
If you are unsure on where to begin or how to start the conversation, review SUP’s Parent Tips and ATOD Checklist and download the "Talk. They Hear You." App designed to help parents and caregivers, educators, and communities:
- Get Informed. Increase awareness about underage drinking and other drug use.
- Be Prepared. Introduce skill-building techniques and share available resources and tools.
- Take Action. Increase actions to help prevent underage drinking and other drug use.
The app features sample conversation starters, ways to keep the conversation going, an interactive practice simulation section, and the opportunity to earn badges for practicing and having real-life conversations. It also includes a resources section with informative and useful videos, fact sheets, brochures, infographics, guides/toolkits, and more.
The “Talk. They Hear You.” campaign mobile app is available on the App Store, Google Play, and the Microsoft Store. Watch this quick video to learn more about the app and see how it works.

Advanced Placement Exam Registration 2021-2022
UPDATE: The office will assign AP exam fees to students enrolled in an AP course once the Board approves the price increase set by CollegeBoard. Parents may check their student's accounts for the fee(s) to be assigned.
This year’s AP Exams will be from May 2-12, 2022, at Rogers High School. The cost for each exam fee is $61.00. Students must register by October 29, 2021, to avoid incurring an additional $40 late fee. (Except for AP Macroeconomics, which meets only in the spring semester and has a final registration date of February 28, 2022.) Students who register can cancel their exams before February 28, 2022. However, all canceled exams incur a $40 Unused Exam Fee.
There are two steps to complete the AP exam registration:
- Create a College Board account online and enroll in the correct course section. Most students have already completed this step with their teacher.
- Complete the payment by logging into your Infinite Campus Parent Portal using your personal parent email address username and password. Choose Fees to view current year assigned fees, payments, or credits for the student. If you have more than one child in the District, click the Switch Student button to choose a student. Students who receive free or reduced lunch may be eligible for a fee waiver. Contact Jessica Zoubek (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information.
Both steps must be complete before the deadline.
In January, their case manager will contact students with an IEP or 504 Plan to request any necessary testing accommodations. Contact Anne Bartus (email@example.com), SSD Coordinator, with any questions about accommodations.
Please email the AP Coordinator, Shane Noecker (firstname.lastname@example.org), with questions about registering for an AP exam.

Out of Storage? Let the RHS Construction Students help you!Purchase the shed material from the local home improvement store of choice and let the RHS Construction program erect the building. To meet curriculum requirements, shed dimensions are 8' wide x 12' deep or 10' wide x 12' deep. Both have 8' high walls that offer over 750 cubic feet of storage space. Each shed includes a 36" x 36" vinyl-clad window and a 6' x 7' steel roll-up garage door that provides ample light and a door large enough for your riding lawn mower, patio furniture, and other seasonal items. Textured, pre-primed LP SmartSide, and cedar trim allow the owner to paint or stain using your chosen color. The owner selects the color of architectural roof shingles and other finish/material options available. New shed construction will begin in early February 2022 at the start of the Construction course. For more information or to reserve your spot, contact email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.Thank you for supporting the RHS Construction program and our RHS Construction students!
