    JANUARY 2022

Online728 Families -

  • Happy New Year to all of our families, students, and staff. We are excited to enter 2022 with each of you! As we look forward to the year, we are interested in learning what your plans might be for the 2022-23 school year. Whether you are staying with us here in Online728 or returning to the building, we are happy you’ve been a part of kicking off our Elementary and Middle School programs.

One important consideration we have for all students in Online728 is healthy screen time. We are excited to offer a virtual parent session on screen time for all families. Please consider joining us as we discuss not only how you can assist your child, but how to determine what is positive or negative screen time.

Virtual Event! Top 10 Screen Time Tips

The newsletter this week will focus on future events coming this winter and into the spring. We hope you are all staying warm!

Thank you for being a part of Online728!

Online728 Elementary Updates

  • Conferences - February 2nd - 4th, 2022

Our Elementary Conferences are closely approaching for the winter. Conferences will occur February 2nd - 4th and teachers will be reaching out to families to schedule conferences soon. All of our conferences will be virtual using Google Meet. As a reminder, the purpose of our conferences is to share student success and growth. Teachers will not have grading related updates to provide during this time. Please look forward to future communication to schedule your conference time slot.

    Online728 Planning Survey Reminder - January 17th

We are starting to make plans for the 2022-23 school year.  One important aspect to our planning is determining how many of our current Online728 Elementary and Middle school students plan to remain in the program as online students next year.

To help us with this planning, we are asking that you complete this brief survey regarding your children who are currently enrolled with Online728 Elementary and Middle School.

Completion of this form is for planning purposes only and does not unenroll students from Online728 or return students to in-person learning within an ISD 728 building. Further paperwork will be required to transition students back to "in-person" learning.

Please complete the following survey (linked here) by Monday, January 17th.

    Media Center Book Check-Out

We are very excited to be partnering with Lincoln Elementary to provide Media Center books to our students in Online728. Please review the school calendar for check-out dates and deadlines for reserving books. Students may check out books for two weeks at a time and can always return books to our drop box located at the main office of Lincoln Elementary. If you have any questions, please ask your student’s teacher.

Online728 Middle School Updates

  • Conference - February 2nd - 4th

Online728 Middle School conferences will follow our Elementary School schedule and will not occur on the Secondary schedule of February 22nd. Middle School families can meet with Mrs. Craft or Mrs. Burken. Please look for future communication on scheduling these conferences.

    Media Center Book Check-Out

We are very excited to be partnering with VandenBerge Middle School to provide Media Center books to our students in Online728. Students will need to make a request for books one week before our materials pick up to ensure they are delivered in time to Lincoln Elementary. If your student reserves books and they are not available for pick up, please let Dr. Rathbun know, and we will locate them for you. Thank you for your patience while we fine-tune this process.

    Quarter 1 Honor Roll

Online728 Middle School is excited to announce our first ever Honor Roll! Students who achieve a GPA of 3.00 or higher will be recognized on our Honor Roll published to our website each quarter. Congratulations to all Honor Roll students and thank you for being such model examples of successful online learners!
