I encourage you to find moments of relaxation and pause over the spring break next week. We are all looking forward to time to rest and reset.

Media Center GratitudeBook Fair Success!A HUGE thank you to our parent volunteers, students, and families who helped make our Book Fair a success. We were able to add MANY new books to our Media Center collection due to the success of our Book Fair. Students also raised over $400 in All For Books donations during the Book Fair, which goes directly back into books for our Media Center. Scholastic matches that amount and works with its charity partners to get books for kids in need. THANK YOU for supporting our students' reading!
RHS Athletic Meetings
Any boys in grades 7 and 8: If you are interested in playing tennis this spring, come to the parent/player meeting on Tues, March 8th at 7pm in room B107 at the high school. There are no cuts, and no previous experience required. Any questions, email Coach Scheevel.
Students in 8th grade are invited to an informational meeting at RHS, room C101 on March 9th at 6pm. Tryouts dates for the fall team will be March 28-30. Contact Coach Rowley or visit RogersCheerleading.com for more information.
Music Department News
There are several exciting things to tell you about as we start approaching the spring season!
1. We are starting our annual Music Department Candy Bar Fundraiser. Students who sell a box of candy bars will spin the money wheel to win either cash or candy bars. This year, we're adding greater chances of winning money the more boxes you sell! The candy bars cost $1. The sale will last 3 weeks, so kids have plenty of time to sell! If your child is involved in any traveling sports and they have weekend events, that is a great place to get lots of sales! Another place is at any parent work lunch room! If you are okay with letting your child participate, it is best to check out one box at a time, as we cannot take back any unopened boxes. You are welcome to sign up for more if you know you will sell them.

2. We are putting together plans to host the return of the RMS Spring Music Festival! It has been 3 long years since we have been able to host this great event! This festival is a chance for all of the band and choir students at RMS to be able to hear each other play and sing live in concert. We have also been able to have the 5th Grade students from Rogers and Hassan Elementaries join us to promote signing up for music. Unfortunately, they will not be coming over yet this year. However, we will be able to record the concert and have them watch it at their schools.
The festival will happen during the school day at the end of March. It will be in the morning from 8:15 to 10:45 am. We are still locking in on a date, but will communicate that to you as soon as it's decided. Once we have the date set, we will be asking for chaperones to help us out with this. This will be a great opportunity to see how the groups are doing right now! Students will be sitting in sections, and we will have both parents and teachers sitting with them to supervise. A link to sign up will be sent out once the date is set.
