    APRIL 2022

Online728 Families -

  • It is hard to believe that April is here. We have just over 2 months left in the school year, but time certainly does fly when you’re having fun! We are in the heart of spring testing and providing our students with an opportunity to show us all that they have learned this year. We appreciate your continued support and partnership in your student’s learning journey.

Have a wonderful April and enjoy the warmer temperatures!

    End of Year Reminders

The end of the school year is rapidly approaching. As the weather begins to warm up, it can be harder for students to maintain focus and feel motivated to complete their schoolwork. As we look to end the year strong, our teachers and staff rely on the partnership we have with our student’s learning mentors to help students succeed. Here are a few reminders of student and learning mentor expectations are we enter our third and final trimester at Online728 Elementary:

    Attendance:

    • Students need to both attend Meets and work on the day's assigned tasks in order to be considered present. You can access a summary of absences in Campus Portal.
    • We ask students to be working online after the Meets so that we are available for questions and to support their learning, particularly during much of the Language Arts work time and the Math work time.
    • Online728 Attendance Form--please use this form to let us know if your student needs to be offline due to illness etc.

    Work Completion:

    • At the end of each school day or during other points in the day, go through your child's planner together. Have your child show you completed work; this can also provide good moments to strengthen their understanding by asking your child to explain some concepts to you.
    • At least once a week, have your child click "grades" at the left side in the Schoology course. Look at recent scores together, read through any teacher comments, and make a plan for finishing any late or missing tasks.

We thank you for your continued support and partnership! Let’s end the year strong!
