New Survey: We Need YOUR Feedback as We Plan for 2030 and Beyond
Throughout this Fall, you have been receiving various updates from the School Board and the Superintendent pertaining to the ISD 728 Community Facilities Task Force.
This committee has worked since September 2025 to create recommendations they will bring to the School Board regarding strategies they think should be considered to meet the Board's defined goals for addressing long-term student population growth, especially as the southern end of the District is nearing building capacity. Additionally, it is focused on developing no more than three recommendations for solutions that are both financially viable and responsible.
The Facilities Task Force process is structured to first participate in a deep dive orientation focused on reviewing District data. Following this review, the task force proposes, develops, and refines its initial recommendations. These concepts are then brought to the public to solicit feedback. After reviewing this feedback, the task force will make appropriate revisions. The process concludes in December with the formal presentation of the final recommendations to the ISD 728 School Board.
The community committee has now developed its Design Proposals (or "Big Ideas") and Statements of Consultation to address future enrollment and capacity limitations of our buildings. At this time, the committee is asking for your help.
The task force is requesting your feedback via a community survey, which includes information on:
- Board Outcomes,
- District Enrollment Growth,
- Southern Capacity, and the
- Committee-Developed Design Proposals.
This is a crucial "check-in" with our community members to gather valuable public perspectives on the concepts and strategies under consideration. Your feedback will help the community committee draft and modify its formal recommendations to the ISD 728 School Board.
Thank you for your time and valuable feedback.
Future Task Force meetings will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and the dates are as follows:

Thank you for your investment and involvement in our District, and for what you do for our students and staff each and every day.
