Former Minnesota Wild goaltender Alex Staloch, women's hockey legend Natalie Darwitz and Wild mascot Nordy made their way to Otsego Elementary School earlier this winter for some hockey fun, some lessons about nutrition and activity and a huge donation to the Otsego Eagles' physical education department.
ISD 728 School Board candidate Shari Knip officially notified District officials on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 of her decision to withdraw from the school board election recount process. This was following the first day of the recount involving the counting of ballots in Sherburne County precincts. As a result, candidate Shane Steinbrecher will return to the School Board after winning the third seat.
In accordance with Minnesota Statutes Section 204C.36, ISD 728 has received a recount request from School Board candidate Shari Knip. As required by law, the recount will be conducted at no cost to the candidate and will be funded by ISD 728.

At its regular Board Meeting in early November, the ISD 728 School Board took time to honor and present certificates to student leaders from around the District, continuing a time-honored tradition.
