Schools Battle, Those in Need Win

Students with food raised for shelf

A pair of elementary schools declared a "food war" on another - and neither won.

Because it's those in the area who are in need that will emerge as the victors for this one.

Lincoln and Parker elementary schools raised over two TONS - 2,800 pounds, in fact - as they battled for "school supremacy" in their latest chapter.

Congratulations to the families of both the Lightning and the Pumas for pumping up our local food shelf, as all of this was donated to CAER in Elk River. We love the "Battle of the Schools" food drive, as it teaches kids about being global contributors to our community.

Congrats to both buildings!
