2024 Open House Schedule

ISD 728 will welcome students and families back to school buildings at the end of August, as we prepare to kick off the 2024-2025 school year.

All students are invited to Open Houses in their school buildings. Check for information from your specific school about what the afternoon/evening includes for your student(s).

Here’s a look at the schedule (all events are open houses unless otherwise indicated).

Note: please check this post frequently as things are subject to change! 

Thursday, August 15, 2024

• LINK for Grade 9 students at Elk River High School (check email from ERHS for details, including hours and information). 

Tuesday, August 20, 2024

•  Rogers High School - LINK for Grade 9 students and parents at Rogers High School - 5 to 9 p.m. for students, 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. meeting for parents. 
• RHS New Student Orientation for all students in Grade 10-12 new to RHS, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. 

 August 20 and 21, 2024

• Parking permits and picture day at Rogers High School.

Wednesday, August 21, 2024

• Zimmerman Middle School - Grade 6 Orientation: students from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., parents information at 4:30 p.m. and open house from 5 to 6 p.m. for Grade 6 only.  
• Rogers Middle School - Grade 5 WEB Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

• Prairie View Middle School - New Student Orientation for all students in any grade new to Prairie View Middle School, 1 to 2:30 p.m.
• Prairie View Middle School - Grade 5 WEB Orientation, 8 a.m. to noon; orientation for all new students to PVMS (excluding Grade 5) 1 to 2:30 p.m.
• Rogers Middle School - orientation for all students new to RMS, but not in Grade 5, 1 to 2:30 p.m.
• VandenBerge Middle School - Grade 6 WEB Orientation, 8 a.m. to noon.
• Salk STEM Middle School - Grade 6 WEB orientation, 1 to 4:30 p.m.   

Tuesday, August 27, 2024 open houses

• Ivan Sand Community High School -  4 to 7 p.m. for all students.
• Rogers Middle School - 4 to 5 p.m. for Grade 5, then 5 to 7 p.m. for all grades.
• Otsego Elementary -  5 to 7 p.m., recommending 5 to 5:30 for new students, 5:30 to 6:15 for last name A-K, and 6:15 to 7 for last name L-Z. 

Wednesday, August 28, 2024 open houses

• Elk River High School - 4 to 7 p.m., all students.
• Rogers High School -  4 to 7 p.m., all students. 
• Zimmerman Middle/High School -  4 to 7 p.m., Grades 7 through 12.
• VandenBerge Middle School - 4 to 7 p.m., all grades.
• Zimmerman Elementary - 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., all grades.
• Westwood Elementary - 5 to 7 p.m., all grades.
• Twin Lakes Elementary - 4:45 to 6:45, recommending 4:45 to 5:30 for kindergarten and new students, 5:30 to 6:45 for all Grade 1 through 5 returning students.
• Meadowvale Elementary - 5 to 7 p.m., all grades.
• Parker Elementary - 5 to 7 p.m., recommending all new families from 5 to 5:30, last names A-K from 5:30 to 6:15 and last names L-Z from 6:15 to 7 p.m.
• Prairie View Elementary - 5:15 to 7:15 p.m., recommending new students in Grade 1 to 4 from 5 to 5:30 p.m., students last name A-K from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. and students L-Z from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m.
• Hassan Elementary - 5 to 7 p.m. with recommendations for all new students to Hassan to come from 5 to 5:30. Students with last names A-K should come from 5:30 to 6:15 and L-Z should come between 6:15 and 7 p.m.
• ISD 728 COMPASS Program - 4 to 7 p.m., ISD 728 District Office (Elk River). 

Thursday, August 29, 2024 open houses

• Prairie View Middle School - 3 to 6 p.m. for Grade 5, 4 to 7 p.m. for all other students.
• Salk STEM Middle School - 4 to 7 p.m. for all students. 
• Online 728 - 4 to 5 p.m. for all full time students, 5 to 7 p.m. for all other students (via Google Meet links).
• Lincoln Elementary School - 5 to 7 p.m., all grades. 
• Rogers Elementary School - 5 to 7 p.m., recommending all students new to RES (non-kindergarten) from 5 to 5:30 p.m., last name A-K from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. and last name L-Z from 6:15 to 7 p.m.
