Back to School 2025 - Open House Dates Set for All ISD 728 Buildings

Find your locker. Meet a friend. Check out that new classroom. Talk to your future teacher. Say hello to the Principal. All of these things and more await you and your student at the Back to School events held across ISD 728 in August. 

With the fireworks of the Fourth of July in the rearview mirror and the new school year less than two months away, it’s never too early to “Save the Date” and make sure you have these important, informative nights on your calendar. 

Here’s a look around the District. 

ELEMENTARY

Hassan Elementary: Tuesday, August 26 from 5 to 7 p.m.; new families at 5 p.m.; Recommended (last name) A-K from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m., L-Z from 6:15 to 7 p.m. 

Lincoln Elementary: Wednesday, August 27 from 5 to 7 p.m. (all families). 

Meadowvale Elementary: Wednesday, August 27 from 5 to 7 p.m. (all families). 

Otsego Elementary: Tuesday, August 26 from 5 to 7 p.m.; new families at 5 p.m.; Recommended (last name) A-K from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m., L-Z from 6:15 to 7 p.m. 

Parker Elementary: Tuesday, August 26 from 5 to 7 p.m.; new families at 5 p.m.; Recommended (last name) A-K from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m., L-Z from 6:15 to 7 p.m. 

Prairie View Elementary: Wednesday, August 27; Recommended (last name) A-K from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m., L-Z from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. 

Rogers Elementary: Wednesday, August 27; Recommended (last name) A-K from 5 to 6 p.m., L-Z from 6 to 7 p.m. 

Twin Lakes Elementary: Wednesday, August 27 from 4:45 to 6:45 p.m.; Recommended new families from 4:45 to 5:30 p.m., current/returning families from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m.

Westwood Elementary: Wednesday, August 27 from 5 to 7 p.m. (all families). 

Zimmerman Elementary: Wednesday, August 27 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. (all families) 

 

MIDDLE SCHOOL 

Ivan Sand Community Middle School: Wednesday, August 27 from 4 to 7 p.m. for all students. 

Prairie View Middle School: New Student Orientation for Grades 6 to 8 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 21. Grade 5 and new students welcome on Wednesday, August 27 from 4 to 7 p.m. All Grade 6 through 8 students attend Thursday, August 28 from 4 to 7 p.m.  

Rogers Middle School: Thursday August 28 from 4 to 7 p.m., recommended (last name) A-K from 4 to 5:30, Last name L-Z from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Building will remain open until 8 p.m. for students to find and practice opening lockers. 

Salk STEM Middle School: Wednesday, August 27 from 4 to 7 p.m. 

VandenBerge Middle School: Wednesday, August 27 from 4 to 7 p.m. (includes pictures!). 

Zimmerman Middle School: Grade 6 open house is Wednesday, August 20 from 3 to 6 p.m. All Grade 7 and 8 students open house night is set for Wednesday, August 27 from 4 to 7 p.m.

HIGH SCHOOL+

Elk River High School: Wednesday, August 27 from 4 to 7 p.m. for all students. 

Ivan Sand Community High School: Wednesday, August 27 from 4 to 7 p.m. for all students.

Zimmerman High School: All Grade 9 through 12 students open house night is set for Wednesday, August 27 from 4 to 7 p.m.

COMPASS Program: Students participating in the ISD 728 COMPASS program can attend an open house at the ISD 728 District Office on Thursday, August 28 from 4 to 7 p.m.

Journey/Focus Program: Students in the Journey or Focus Program can attend an open house at VandenBerge Middle School Wednesday, August 27 from 5 to 7 p.m.
