Important Dates for 2024-2025 School Year Proposed, Calendar Not Yet Approved

The ISD 728 School District Calendar for the 2024-2025 School Year will be presented to the School Board for discussion and consideration in the coming weeks. The School Board is expected to take action on the recommendation at the March 25, 2024 meeting as the calendar must be approved by April 1, 2024.
Preliminary dates for the start of school, season breaks and other holidays have been proposed. These dates (other than Federal holidays) have not been formally approved by the Board, as stated previously. Tentative dates include:

September 3, 2024 - First day of school

October 17-18, 2024 - Teacher Convention (MEA) - No school

November 28-29, 2024 - Fall Break - No school

December 23, 2024-January 1, 2025 - Winter Break

January 20, 2025 - MLK Jr. Day - No school

February 17, 2025 - Presidents’ Day - No school

March 17-21, 2025 - Spring Break

May 26, 2025 - Memorial Day - No school
Other dates such as the final day of school for Grade 12 students and the last day of school for all students are still being discussed.
Again, these dates are tentative and subject to change. Families should plan accordingly.
