I Voted Sticker

In accordance with Minnesota Statutes Section 204C.36, ISD 728 has received a recount request from School Board candidate Shari Knip. As required by law, the recount will be conducted at no cost to the candidate and will be funded by ISD 728.

ISD 728 School District will conduct this recount for one of the three at-large seats from the ISD 728 School Board General Election held on November 5, 2024. The recount will cover all precincts within the ISD 728 School District, which spans five counties.

A publicly funded recount can be requested by a candidate when the difference in votes between candidates is less than one-half of one percent. This threshold applies to the gap between the elected candidate with the fewest votes and the candidate with the most votes among the unelected candidates.

The recount will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 3, in the Maple Room of the Sherburne County Government Center, located at 13880 Business Center Drive, Elk River, Minnesota, 55330. This recount is open to the public, and candidates may be represented by legal counsel.
