OES Welcomes Students, Staff and Guests to School of Excellence Celebration

Principal Kelly Kudla shakes pom poms and cheers

Otsego Elementary culminated two years of work with a special Minnesota School of Excellence celebration for staff, students and some special guests on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.

Principal Kelly Kudla kicked off the day with a special staff breakfast. Then, as students began to roll in, the OES team passed along the "good vibes" with their "Celebration Tunnel," which included members of the ISD 728 School Board, as well as Superintendent Almos and Assistant Superintendent Jamie Nord.  The celebration continued with a special program in the gym, featuring the presentation of the Minnesota Elementary School Principals Association (MESPA) School of Excellence plaque, delivered by MESPA Representative Michelle Krell.

"This has been in the works for more than two years," Kudla said. "It's so great to see everyone recognized for the time and effort they put into this. It's truly well-deserved."
