Each year, ISD 728 Celebrates its staff, volunteers and substitute teachers with the annual Staff Awards. This year, the District committee that celebrates these outstanding members of the ISD 728 family added a new category - Coach of the Year, bringing our total category number to seven.
The Zimmerman High School Archery team claimed the State Championship at the Minnesota NASP Bullseye Tournament, showcasing their talent and precision at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester, MN. This event drew a competitive field with over 70 schools and 1,900 archers aiming for the top in the Minnesota National Archery in the School Program (NASP) State Championship. Zimmerman Archery Club (ZAC), led by Coach Ray Denis, included both Middle School and High School teams, participated with vigor in the bullseye and 3D tournaments.
A pair of leaders will bid farewell to ISD 728 in a matter of days, wrapping up careers marked with leadership, caring for students, innovation and, above all, friendship.
From retiree honors to celebrating those who have reached "milestone" anniversaries in ISD 728, it's been a fun spring celebrating our amazing employees.
After guiding ISD 728 through a successful, record-setting referendum and then tackling a global pandemic with local civic leaders, opening two schools and guiding the reconstruction of many more, Superintendent Dan Bittman is ready for retirement.
