Dr. Kari Rock
Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Educational Services
Dr. Kari Rock joined ISD 728 in 2021 with a wealth of experience as a former District Leader in the Anoka-Hennepin School District, a Middle and Elementary Principal and teacher. She was most recently the Director of Elementary Schools with Anoka-Hennepin and has an extensive background in curriculum, interventions and title programs. Dr. Rock is also a resident of Elk River with children attending ISD 728 schools.
Ms. Jamie Nord
Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Educational Services
Jamie Nord joined ISD 728 in July 2023. Prior to joining the ISD 728 cabinet, Jamie spent 16 years serving in several different capacities at the St. Croix River Education District, including time as Executive Director, Director of Special Education, Unique Learners' Manager, and School Psychologist. As a leader, she has extensive experience in creating and implementing a multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) to improve outcomes for all learners.
In addition, Jamie is active at the state and national leadership level, recently serving as the President for the Minnesota Administrators for Special Education. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Superior, her Master of Education and Education Specialist degrees in School Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Stout (while simultaneously completing the coursework for School Counseling), and her Sixth Year Certificate for Director of Special Education, K-12 Principal, and Superintendent licensure from St. Cloud State University.
Andrew Almos
Executive Director of Business Services
Andrew Almos joined ISD 728 in July 2022 as the Executive Director of Business Services, leading ISD 728's award-winning finance team. Andrew is formerly the Superintendent of East Central Schools, where he began in 2013. Previously, he served as a K-12 Principal in Goodridge, 7-12 Principal in Maple Lake, and a CTE teacher in Shakopee. He is active at the state and national leadership level, where he recently served on the Minnesota Association of School Administrators (MASA) Board of Directors. He provides finance training to new Superintendents through MASA and the Great Start Cohort.
Tim Caskey
Executive Director of Human Resources
Tim has been with the District since September 2014. He is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources, including contract negotiations, hiring, performance management and employee benefits. Tim's previous Human Resources experience is with both private and public employers. Most recently he has served as the Executive Director of Human Resources with St. Paul Public Schools and the Director of Human Resources with the University of Minnesota - Duluth. Tim has a Masters Degree in Business Administration and is SPHR and SHRM-SCP certified.
