Improve Board Effectiveness
The Board will model collaboration, communication and development to promote a more engaged, responsive and effective school organization.
- Participate in professional development and learning opportunities to promote high functioning board attributes.
- Comply with all district policies as adopted by the School Board, including but not limited to Policy 209.
- A commitment to preparedness, communication and respectfully supporting the Rules of Engagement for all meetings & work sessions.
Measurement: The goal will be measured by participating in feedback survey(s) and sharing sources of professional development.
Leadership Framework
Establish a clear framework for a successful transition of the Superintendent and new Board members that supports our Mission and guides an effective implementation of the Strategic Plan, while developing strong, collaborative relationships that fosters a positive & inclusive culture.
Mission: Our mission is to educate, inspire & empower our diverse learners, to shape their futures, to accomplish their dreams and to contribute positively to our local and global communities.
Measurement: The goal will be measured by the implementation of a transition plan, delivery of measurable goals (Board & Superintendent) and participation in the annual feedback process.
Community Engagement
In addition to regular attendance of School Board meetings and Work Sessions, each School Board member will participate in at least three school/district related events throughout the 2024-2025 School Year.
Measurement: Provide a brief report during the Board Update portion of the monthly School Board meetings.
