Setting IV Planning
The ISD 728 School Board is currently reviewing facility options to serve our Setting IV programs and other special student populations in the District.
For more information on the student programs, facilities options, and considerations being reviewed by the ISD 728 School Board, we have released a "Q&A" Page on our website with additional details and information on the options under review.
To date, there are three considerations proposed to the ISD 728 School Board for a Setting IV Facility:
- Option 1: Continue services at existing locations with remodels
- Option 2: New construction of a building
- Option 3: Repurpose an existing school building
Setting IV Planning Q&A
- I’ve heard the District is talking about repurposing or building a new school. What are the details?
- What are the details of Option 1: Continue services at existing locations with remodels?
- What are the details of Option 2: Build a new facility on an existing site to meet Setting IV programming needs?
- What are the details of Option 3: Repurpose an Elementary School?
- What students would be served in this new facility?
- Why disrupt all these elementary students for such a small facility to serve so few students?
- Why are we proposing this level of service and not just doing the basic requirements for a Setting IV program?
- I've heard other school districts use another campus or district for their Setting IV services. Why doesn't ISD 728 do that?
- What were some of the other ideas considered?
- Facilities: What are the tax impacts of the proposals?
