Our mission is to educate, inspire, and empower all learners to make informed and reasoned decisions for the public good as engaged participants of a culturally diverse, democratic society in an interdependent world.
Belief Statements
The Social Studies teachers of ISD 728 aspire to be highly effective instructors who incorporate inquiry-based, experiential learning to ensure all learners:
- Grow in their critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills by examining issues through diverse and varied perspectives.
- Understand their civic responsibilities and opportunities at the local, state, national, and global levels.
- Make connections and see relevant relationships between the past, present, and future.
