Mission

K-12 Tech & Media Literacy Mission:
Our mission is to nurture curiosity and a passion for lifelong learning by providing access to quality resources, creating inclusive environments, and developing comprehensive literacy skills for successful and responsible participation in an ever-changing world.

Belief Statements

We believe the K-12 Media program should foster:

  • Inclusivity: We believe in fostering inclusive learning environments where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and connected to the community.
  • Equitable Access: We believe in providing equitable access to relevant and diverse resources that inspire reading, enhance learning, support instruction, and foster inquiry.
  • Information, Media & Digital Literacy: We believe in developing information, media, and digital literacy skills that enable learners to critically evaluate and ethically communicate information.
  • Digital Skills & Wellness: We believe in cultivating competencies that enable safe, ethical, and effective use of digital tools and information.
  • Future Ready Learners: We believe in preparing learners with essential skills in creativity, critical thinking, communication, collaboration, character, and citizenship.
