    The Mission of the VandenBerge counseling department is to educate, inspire and empower our diverse learners, to shape their futures, to accomplish their dreams and to contribute positively to our local and global communities.

    The goals for the counseling program are to:

    -Provide a comprehensive school counseling program to facilitate students’ academic, social, and emotional development. 

    -Help students explore themselves interpersonally and encourage them to identify and explore their interests, talents, abilities and career aspirations.

    -Provide students and parents with mental health resources that will assist students in their emotional, mental, and personally growth.

    -Provide guidance to parents on how to help support the emotional, personal and academic needs of their children.

    -Allow students a safe space to express themselves.

    -Assist students with healthy and appropriate decision making and conflict-resolution skills.
