With a mission to educate, inspire and empower our diverse learners, Elk River High School (ERHS) provides each of our students unique and personal pathways for their future success in college and career.
 
Elk River High School is home to students building on a long tradition of high achievement and top performance in academics, activities, and community contribution. Our high quality energetic staff and administration believe each student has a path to achieve his or her dreams, and they strive to develop the most engaging experience so students can continue their personal journey of learning beyond the halls of high school.

College & Career Prep School 

ERHS offers more than 45 college credit eligible courses through programs such as Advanced Placement and College in the Schools, along with partnerships with the University of Minnesota, St. Cloud State University and Pine Tech. ERHS also offers career oriented classes in our Industrial Technology, FACs, Culinary, and Business Departments.

1:1 Relationships 

Teachers develop 1:1 relationships to support students via an advisory class, meeting weekly in small groups, checking on academic progress and assisting with students' college and career preparation. All students are also issued a chromebook to complete their assignments and communicate directly with their teachers.

Community Service 

Each year, Elk River High School students contriubte to our local and global communities. Service learning is incorporated into class curriculum, as well as activity and athletic programs, translating to over 10,000 service hours per year.

AVID 

AVID (Advancement Via Individualized Determination)

AVID is a college readiness system that is designed to increase school-wide learning and performance. The program is dedicated to closing the achievement gap by preparing all lstudents for college and other post-secondary opportunities.
