Jason Paurus, Principal

The 2022-23 school year marks our 20th year providing education to the Rogers, Otsego, Albertville, Dayton, and St. Michael communities.  I am extremely excited and honored to be serving the staff, students, parents, and community as principal of RHS.  RHS is home to over 1,700 students in grades 9-12.  Our staff is dedicated to making RHS a safe, caring, respectful, and positive learning environment.  Our teachers collaboratively work and learn in professional learning communities to continuously respond to the academic and behavioral needs of our 1700+ students.  Our outstanding paraprofessionals, cooks, custodians, and administrative support team are also eager to support you at Rogers High School.

We are committed to educating, inspiring, and empowering our students, staff, families, and community through developing positive relationships, pursuing excellence, seeking diversity, and building futures!  We are grateful for the ongoing support and involvement of our parents and community stakeholders and it is through these relationships that we can learn, teach, and appreciate one another.  We are proud of the many accomplishments our students have earned in academics, arts, athletics, and activities.

Please don’t hesitate to call or email me if you have any questions.

Greetings, Royals!  Building relationships in an effort to continue making Rogers High School a special place where students will shape their future to accomplish their dreams and contribute positively to our local and global communities is a priority for our staff.  To my core, I love to help people set, work toward, and achieve their goals and celebrate their success and I am blessed to do this as part of the RHS community.

About your Assistant Principal

I am looking forward to another wonderful year at Rogers High School. I am a former School Counselor and have been in school administration since 2015. I enjoy traveling, spending time at our cabin up north, exercising, and watching my kids participate in a million activities.  Please be sure to say hello if you happen to see me at school, in the community, or with my husband and two daughters as we support the RHS Royals at various events.

Kevin Jost, Assistant Principal (Students' Last Names P-Z)

Welcome back to school, students and parents!  I am very excited and feel very fortunate to be joining the RHS family and community as the newest member of the administration team.   My number one goal is deeply tied to creating meaningful relationships with students and families in an effort to support them in becoming the best version of themselves. I am heading into my 15th year in education, all of which has been spent within the district. I began my teaching career in the classroom as a special education teacher and coach.  From there, I transitioned to a district-wide position connected with the district’s online high school.  Most recently, I served as Assistant Principal at Prairie View Elementary Middle school for the last two years. I could not be more thrilled to support our students and families this upcoming school year!

About your Assistant Principal

Personally, I enjoy being as active as possible, and competing in the sport of triathlon is one of my main focuses.  Additionally, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two dogs, Walter and Lucy.
