Elk River Learning Lab offers 3 pathways to earn a secondary credential:
The GED® test was updated in 2014 to align with current high school graduation requirements and expectations of colleges and employers. The tests are offered in both English and Spanish, on-line at approved testing centers. The four parts of the test include:
- Science (90 minutes)
- Social Studies (90 minutes)
- Reasoning through Language Arts (150 minutes including a 10-minute break)
- Mathematical Reasoning (120 minutes)
The fee per subject area is $30 per test and you pay for each subject individually when you are ready. Contact the Elk River Learning Lab to see if there are any discounts offered for the exams.
GED Ready®, the official practice exam, costs $6 per test. Taking an official practice test can determine if you’re likely to pass, if your score is too close to call, or if you’re not likely to pass. These tests must be proctored at an ABE program if you are under the age of 19. By attending our GED® preparation program, you increase your potential to pass the exam. Prepare online, get 1:1 help during independent study time, or attend a small group.
