Students present projects in a library

Following a highly competitive school science fair at SMS in December with more than 500 projects judged by community volunteers, 37 Salk students advanced to the Regional Fair. At the Regional Fair,  23 Salk Middle School student projects (out of more than 350 regional entries) have qualified for the Minnesota State Science Fair, with an additional four projects named as alternates.

The image shows an elderly man with gray hair and a beard wearing a yellow and brown patterned robe, holding a microphone and gesturing with his hand in front of a blue background.

Clubs Rogers High, Rogers Middle and Prairie View Middle used a special program this Black History month to honor students, staff and one special District award-winner for embodying what it means to lead with kindness, courage and making sure students and peers feel respected and included. It's the second year for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Humanitarian Awards at each of these schools.
