The Scholastic Art Awards program is the nation's oldest and most prestigious student arts competition, running annually for 100 plus years, since 1923. Dozens of ISD 728 students earned recognition from this national organization.

Following a highly competitive school science fair at SMS in December with more than 500 projects judged by community volunteers, 37 Salk students advanced to the Regional Fair. At the Regional Fair, 23 Salk Middle School student projects (out of more than 350 regional entries) have qualified for the Minnesota State Science Fair, with an additional four projects named as alternates.

The ISD 728 School Board honored leaders from Lincoln and Meadowvale Elementary Schools in Elk River, and our Online 728 program were honored for their roles in their school communities.

After losing in the State AAA quarterfinals to Hastings, ERHS pulled out wins over Brainerd and Apple Valley to earn some State Wrestling hardware.

Clubs Rogers High, Rogers Middle and Prairie View Middle used a special program this Black History month to honor students, staff and one special District award-winner for embodying what it means to lead with kindness, courage and making sure students and peers feel respected and included. It's the second year for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Humanitarian Awards at each of these schools.
