NWSISD Magnet Programs

ISD 728 currently has two schools that offer a STEM Magnet program through Northwest Suburban Integration School District (NWSISD), Rogers Elementary STEM Magnet School and Salk Pre-Engineering Magnet School.

STEM programs develop critical thinking, creativity, innovation, and real-world problem solving skills through scientific exploration, inquiry, and project based learning experiences.

Entrance into a NWSISD magnet program is application based. Priority application registration is open mid-October through end of December with the lotteries taking place beginning in January. Upon assignment into one of those schools through NWSISD, families living outside of ISD 728 must complete and return the Open Enrollment Application to the district office.
