Busing

ISD 728 contracts with Vision of Elk River to provide transportation services for ISD 728 students. They are committed to providing the highest degree of safe and efficient transportation to and from each of our schools.

If your child will be riding a bus, Vision will send you the route information by mid-August. As parents, you will be able to confirm transportation updates on the district website through your Parent Portal access.

If you need to make or change childcare transportation arrangements, please complete the Student Transportation Information Form, which you will receive at your school's Kindergarten Information Night. You can also complete the form anytime at each school, by fax or pick one up from Vision Transportation’s office (12508 Elk Lake Road NW, Elk River, 55330).

An important safety point…kindergartners are to ride only their designated bus route and to get on and off only at their designated stop. It is extremely important for you to know that parents/guardians or daycare providers must provide supervision and assume responsibility for their child(ren) to and from the bus stop. We also stress that for safety and security purposes, parents and guardians monitor their children while boarding and departing the bus. Because of time and safety issues, parents are also not allowed on the bus.

Health

Assuring kindergarten students are healthy is in the best interests of everyone. Before your child can begin school, s/he needs to have all of the required forms and documentation in this guide submitted and approved. Special Education Services

We provide educational services to qualifying students from birth to age 21. If you believe your kindergartner will benefit from special education services, please visit  www.isd728.org/SpecialEducation or call 763-241-3557.
 

Meals

Our food service provider, Southwest Foodservice Excellence, provides federally-approved nutritious meals each school day. Our healthy school menus include food produced here in Minnesota. Meals are divided into grain, meat/meat alternative, fruit, vegetable, and milk. We even have an online system, PayPams, that allows you to make payments easily just about anytime or anywhere. The meal prices, while federally mandated, are affordable for most and include a payment plan. Families may confidentially apply online for free and reduced meals. Campus Parent Portal

The Infinite Campus Portal is a tool that provides real-time, secure online access to your student’s pertinent school information, including online report cards. Parent Portal also allows you to select options for receiving email communications from your school and school district. To obtain or use an existing Portal account, go to www.isd728.org/ParentPortal.
 

RevTrak Online Payments

RevTrak allows parents to pay for select items with credit or debit cards instead of sending cash or check to schools. Items available for this payment option will be assigned to students by the school office, and can also be tracked in the Parent Portal system. Visit www.isd728.org/RevTrak to begin.
