Wellness Policy 

The ISD 728 Wellness Policy sets forth methods that promote student wellness, prevent and reduce childhood obesity, and assure that school meals and other food and beverages sold and otherwise made available on the school campus during the school day are consistent with applicable minimum local, state, and federal standards.

Wellness Resources

  • Lunchroom
    Learn about meals served at ISD 728 and how they align with USDA standards and MyPlate Guidelines. Explore school menus, nutritional information, costs, and our meal account “angel fund.”  This section is rounded out with information for making healthy choices for kids at school. 
     
  • Student Resources
    Find information regarding age-appropriate guidelines for nutrition and physical activity, as well as contact information for local mental/emotional health agencies and help resources.
     
  • Parent Resources
    Discover ideas for non-food celebrations, healthy snacks and recipes for inside and outside of school walls. This section also includes information regarding mental health, mindfulness and prevention. 
     
  • Teacher & Staff Resources
    Staff login required for access.  Features a variety of resources for active classrooms, non-food rewards and student education. Also included are substance prevention and mental health resources.
     
  • Recess & Activity Resources
    This section includes resources for both indoor and outdoor recess.
     

Activities & Fundraisers

Activities and fundraisers are held throughout the school year at each school building.   

Please check with your child’s school for current events in addition to the opportunities provided through Community Education.
