Students from Elk River High School's Pro Start team and foods program fired up the kettles and burners at the Hallway Cafe for a special luncheon Friday, March 17. 

As part of a desire for the team to "give back" to the community, students invited school and community leaders for an old-fashioned "pasta bar," with delicious dishes made right in front of patrons, including fettucine alfredo, spaghettie Bolognese and more. 

"Our students really felt one of the things our program could do was some more community outreach and community recognition, and this is one of the results of that," said Monique Sabby, advisor to the ProStart Team and longtime teacher. "Our community has always been so supportive of the program and the students, so this was a way to give back."
