The ISD 728 School Board approved the 2023-2024 academic calendar at its regular meeting, held Monday, March 27 at the ISD 728 District Office. 

Some highlights: 

School will begin for most students on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2023. Kindergarten and Grade 1 students will have an Orientation Week Sept. 5-8, with schedules to be announced. 

MEA week break will be three days, with conferences on Oct. 18 and the convention on Oct. 19-20. 

Thanksgiving break will be three days - Wednesday, Nov. 22 through Friday, Nov. 24. School will resume Nov. 27, 2023. 

Holiday/Winter Break will run from Friday, Dec. 22 through New Year's Day. School resumes on Jan. 2, 2024. 

Spring Break is set for the final week of March - the 25th through 29th. 

Graduation week - with all three traditional high schools and Ivan Sand Community High School holding ceremonies, will be June 3-7. 

The final day for all students will be Wednesday, June 5, 2024.
