Minnesota Scholastic Art Awards

ERHS art students were recently awarded numerous awards at the Minnesota Scholastic Art Awards. The annual statewide competition recognizes talented artists throughout the state and top tier awards move on to national-level adjudication and the chance at a national medal and participation in an exhibition in New York City. Students earned an incredible 28 Gold Key Awards, 5 Silver Keys and 9 Honorable Mentions. A huge highlight of the award ceremony was two students, Marianne Schoen and Kylie Urvig, receiving American Vision nominations that place their artwork in the top five across the entire state! One of those top five works will be selected to represent our state as the top artwork of the year and we wish them both the best of luck. In addition, there were three seniors (Eli Bicek, Jolea Osborne and Colton Pool) who received five or more Gold Keys each! Congrats to all the wonderful art students who participated!
