School Board Update: Something for Everyone by Shane Steinbrecher
Communication is a priority for the ISD 728 School Board. As we begin the new school year, Board members have developed goals, worked collaboratively on strategic planning initiatives, and sought ways to support the amazing things happening throughout our school district and communities. As we continue to look for ways to communicate and share information, Board members will be providing monthly, written communications to provide updates, solicit feedback, and gather information. As Board Chair, I have the privilege to write the first article, and wish each and every one of you an amazing year ahead.
There is something for everyone in ISD 728. As the other School Board members have been participating in various school and community events this month, I have been excited and glad to see the variety and enthusiasm exhibited throughout, and also to hear the laughter. Every child, parent, staff, and community member could choose activities that met their needs and were able to ask questions and to get more information. These activities ranged from easy to extremely difficult, youth to adult, academic to extra-curricular. Truly, something for everyone!
I encourage each of you to explore and consider the amazing offerings provided within the school district, and to join us in making sure every child has opportunities to succeed. Your involvement and dedication make a difference and ensure ISD 728 remains an amazing place to work and learn!
On behalf of the School Board, I want to thank you for all you do to make our District and communities special! It is a great time to be part of ISD 728!
