ISD 728 Participates in #BeTheLightMN Movement

In order to honor all ISD 728 students, families, staff and especially the 2020 senior classes at our traditional and alternative high schools, we will be joining school districts from across the state in the #BeTheLightMN movement. Our stadium lights will be turned on tonight at 8:00 p.m. for 20 minutes to serve as a beacon of light for our ISD 728 communities. Together, we are #728Strong.

To date, more than 200 schools and School Districts have joined the #BeTheLightMN movement, which began in Texas. We are proud to join this movement in showing our students that “we see and miss them.”

We remind our families and students that this is not to be seen as an excuse to ignore CDC and State guidelines when it comes to COVID-19. Groups should not gather at the stadiums. Throughout April, the lights will shine at 8 p.m. on Monday nights, again for 20 minutes, to honor our senior students and our communities.

We will be sharing photos and videos of the lights on our website and social media pages to share with our communities. We encourage you to turn on your porch lights and join us in lighting up our District.
